If you like a casual game of solitaire, then you have come to the right place.
I am hooked on this Solitaire game. This had been my favorite so far. I have played it a lot. I like that it has unlimited hints. I like that I can change the cards and background. I also like that I can choose a winning hand.
I really, really like this solitaire app. Yes it has ads but they are the short non-intrusive. For a basic solitaire game with a fun extra & hassle free with short ads, you guys have done a wonderful job with this app & think other apps might learn some things from you.
The graphics are great and easy movement of the deck. The fact you can choose back ground and playing cards front and back is an added benefit. I recommend anyone who likes ing time playing Solitaire to give this app a try. 5 star....
The main goal is to pair cards up and remove all of them from the main board. There’s a catch, though. Unlike classic Solitaire, the Pyramid version requires you to match cards that add up to 13. That means 5 and 8 go together, as will 7 and 6.
When it comes to values, most of the numbers equal their face value. Ace is 1, Jack is 11, Queen is 12, and King is 13. That means you can move 13 to the Foundation pile without a match.
What’s a Foundation pile, you ask? In Pyramid Solitaire, it’s the bottom slot where your matched pairs go. The objective is to send all cards on the board there.
Then you have the Stock. This is a pile of cards that you’ll draw from when you don’t have any more matches on the Pyramid. Solitaire Classic has the same Stockpile if you recall. They are face down until you turn the top one over for the Waste.
Which brings us to the next part of the layout. The Waste pile consists of discarded cards from the Stockpile that can’t the Pyramid yet until you find a match. Once you do, you can move the Waste and Pyramid card to the Foundation.
– Only “free” cards can be matched: You’ll notice that the Pyramid has cards over other cards below them. You can only match two cards that aren’t locked by other cards.
– Unlocking a covered match: Sometimes, you’ll only have 1 card over another one once you remove the other one. If the card on top and the one below it add up to 13, you can match them to the Foundation.
– From Stock to Waste: Clicking the top card on the Stock moves it to the Waste, revealing the face. If this card matches one in the Pyramid, you can move them to the Foundation.
– Resetting the Stock: In some versions of Pyramid Solitaire, you can reset the Stock once you’ve revealed all the cards but not won the game. It effectively moves the Waste pile back to the Stock. Some games allow you to do so unlimited times.
– Kings to Foundation: As mentioned, Kings have a value of 13. That means you don’t need to worry about a match. Just click on the King and watch it jump to the Foundation pile.
– Undos count: Most versions of Pyramid Solitaire allow you to undo your previous move. While you may be tempted to do so, keep in mind that it counts as a move or turn. This only matters if you’re trying to win with the least number of turns.
We know you’re excited to get started, but hold your horses! Or camels, in this case. (Pyramid > Egypt > Camels 😉). If you don’t check the deck and plan carefully, you may be in for a loss. Here are some quick tips for winning at Pyramid Solitaire.
– Count Your Cards: Before you start clicking and matching cards, pay attention to the Pyramid layout. , you only have four of every number in the 52-card set. So, if you see three 6’s on the board locked under cards, then you only have one of them in the Stock. It means being careful how you match that sole 6 to unlock the others.
– Mission Impossible: Sometimes, you can tell if a Pyramid Solitaire game will be impossible to beat. Or at least incredibly challenging. Let’s say you see all the 4’s locked within the Pyramid. If a 9 is busy blocking the pathway from the bottom, how will you free it?
– Balancing the Pyramid: One of the most favored approaches to Pyramid Solitaire is to balance the matching of cards. Try to remove those from the sides inwards if possible, and row by row from the bottom. You don’t want to be in a situation where one column is stuck on the side, preventing further matches.
